If a customer follows the advertisement and buys the advertised good on Amazon, you may get up to 15% of the good's value.

 

You can advertise an Amazon's good in three ways:

 

 

• Site Stripe
The new "Site Stripe" feature allows you to create links directly from the Amazon.com site without having to visit Associates Central. It lets you build links to any page on Amazon and add products to your store.

 

 

• Links & Banners
Link to a specific product on Amazon and show some information about that product. The Product Links tool lets you build customized Text Links, Text and Image links, and Image only links to Amazon products. 

 

• Widgets
Amazon Widgets are interactive mini-applications that bring Amazon functionality to your website.

 

So, Amazon allows us to make an ad space for its products on our web site or blog using text and image banner types. This is good way for popular resources and blogs. However, an expensive product gives gives you much more income, than the cheaper one, but cheap products are bought more often.

This is really useful feature, because it is practically impossible to create a popular and successful application without distributing it using Mac App Store.

 

As for disadvantages, there is no beta/demo/trial software in this store. This makes it difficult for a customer to decide, does the application cost its value or not. There are restrictions in Mac App Store as well.
