In 2005, an estimated 36 million Americans downloaded music files of the web. Music industry legal filings claim that as much as 90 % of the songs downloaded were done illegally. In 2008 95% of music downloads were illegal. And today file sharing is no longer limited only to music but also to movies, games, software etc.

How can file sharing networks make money if they do not sell music?
File sharing networks get lots of money get lost of money by advertisements on their web-sites.
However, there are such networks, that make money because of their fans, for example the famous The Pirate Bay torrent sharing network has lots of fans, which protect their favourite company.

In which type of eCommerse do file sharing networks belong to?
File sharing networks are different, though practically all of them belong to P2P ecommerce type.
A user uploads a file, which is available for other users, though, sometimes, using torrent file systems, users just download straight from the uploader's pc.

Is the record industry justified in attempting to shut file sharing networks down? Why or why not?
Of course it is, because record industry looses lots of money because of file sharing networks. However, lots of people are sure, that music is such a kind of art, that has to be free to everyone, that is why file sharing networks are powered a lot.

Do you think that illegal downloading will disappear over time?
It will not, because it has become too common actually, people have got used to file sharing networks and really like it. On the other hand, if it will disappear, lots of improvements in the Internet have to be done by governments, or it will be even better to make people understand, that buying products legally or downloading them for money is much better. People have to find out reasons, for which they would pay instead downloading from a file sharing network.
